A stripy t-shirt and a pair of skinny jeans is my signature style and my go-to outfit for pretty much any occasion. A versatile style that even has royal approval - the Duchess of Cambridge has an off-duty stripey wardrobe to die for.
Recently I've been trying to streamline my wardrobe a little more, opting for good quality classics over 'throwaway fashion'.
In order to keep my outfits feeling interesting, I've been turning to Pinterest for a little inspiration. Presenting (*drum roll please*) - my Stripe Style board.
I've had Pinterest for years - beginning right back when you had to be invited to join. Which is obviously a fair bit older than my blog. Pre-blogging life, I used to spend many, many evening hours scrolling through Pinterest, saving all kinds of things that caught my eye.
With my free time this summer, I've been trying to ramp up my efforts to grow my blog - with a fresh new Twitter account, regular posting on Instagram and a polished layout.
Now I've turned my attentions to Pinterest. I've heard lots of bloggers say it's their number one traffic driver, but I just couldn't get on board with it (totally accidental pun). Approximately five years worth of haphazard pinning had left it in a bit of a chaotic state that just wasn't much use to anyone.
So I rolled up my sleeves (stripey, naturally), and got to work tidying it up. My mammoth 'Style' board had almost 500 pins - pins that I liked but just wasn't seeing! I split it up into a number of smaller, more specific boards including the aforemention Stripes Style, plus some seasonal style, workwear and evening wear.
I've been working on travel inspiration boards - pinning all my recent travel posts as well as pins from other bloggers handy holiday guides.
I've also been trying to create a pinnable graphic for each of my own blog posts - so if you're on Pinterest, make sure to save these for future reading!
And finally, I've heard that group boards are really the way to drive traffic to your blog. I'm still on the hunt for some that I fancy joining and that suit my blog, but I've also created my very own lifestyle bloggers board - Ginevrella Lifestyle Bloggers Collaboration. If you're a lifestyle blogger and want to join, shoot me an email and I'll add you to the board!
