Little Things I've Loved This Week #29

Little Things I've Loved This Week Number 29 on Ginevrella

How is it already time to be writing another one of these posts?!

I'm glad it is though, because I got such lovely responses to last week's 'Little Things' that I'm pleased to be bringing you another slice of positivity. You're welcome :)

I'm in that funny holidays mode where the weeks kind of blur and weekdays/ weekends become rather difficult to distinguish - but I'm doing my best to keep track!

I started this week with an overnight trip to Wales for a short change of scenery, then came back to London and spent most of the week attached to my laptop for flat-hunting, pre-employment form filling and blogging. It's been a good week though and here are some of the little things I've especially appreciated...

Little Things I've Loved This Week, Llagollen

Getting out into the countryside while in Wales. We actually went back to Llangollen, a stop on last year's road trip, and it was lovely to be surrounded by greenery and fresh air. I took my camera along to play around with some more settings and although I didn't end up with any photos I was particularly proud of, it was a good chance to experiment and practice.

Little Things I've Loved This Week, Ducklings

Ducklings! I spotted a few families of ducks and ducklings while away and they were so cute and fluffy! They were also super-comfortable with me getting up close for some pictures so you can see them in all their adorableness.

Little Things I've Loved This Week, Recipe Book
Little Things I've Loved This Week, cooking Cooking new dishes, taking inspiration from 'Jerusalem' by Sami Tamimi and Yotam Ottolenghi. It's not a new book, but I bought it for mum last year mainly because my housemate said the recipes were amazing. I sent mum out with a shopping list of various vegetables and grains and have been trialling some tasty recipes, including a delicious pearl barley risotto and roasted vegetables with tahini.

Listening to Adele's 25. I have no idea why it's taken me so long to listen to all the tracks on this album, but finally I've gotten round to it. You probably all know that it's incredible. Obviously. It's Adele after all.

I hope you've had a lovely week - what have you been up to?

  1. That risotto sounds so good - my mum has recently bought me some lentils by mistake so I'm now on the hunt for a recipe haha! Llangollen was somewhere I used to go as a child too so this post definitely brought back feelings of nostalgia - lovely post :) xxx

  4. Oh ducklings are the best thing! I used to have a wee duck family appear outside my uni accommodation every summer and they were absolutely adorable ;)
