Writing my Sunday 'Little Things I've Loved This Week' posts is one of my favourite things to do - reflecting on some of the positives from each week.
This particular highlight though
a) Absolutely cannot wait until Sunday to be announced
b) is by no means little!
I HAVE A JOB AS A DOCTOR!!
We found out last night whether we had been accepted onto the foundation training programme, and where in the country we would be going.
It was all a bit stressful and confusing, as we were actually meant to find out yesterday morning, but found out on Thursday evening that it was being delayed until next week. So feeling rather annoyed, I went into hospital as usual, only to find that at 9am they had released our scores for the application but not said where we had got into!
At about 6pm I was just getting bits together in the kitchen to make dinner when one of my friends found out that the deaneries (where we will be training) had been released. Cue lots of panicked logging-in to FPAS-accounts!
I'm delighted to say that I will be working in and around the Oxford area and I am so excited about it all!
My next step is to look into all the job rotations available and the different locations and then rank which I would most like to do. But right now, I don't mind too much - I'm just thrilled that I'll have a job!
