It's been a long time since I did a tag style post, but actually I think they're quite a nice way to find out a bit more about people behind their blogs! I found this one on Abi's blog, Kemples and decided to give it a go myself.
1. What is your morning beauty routine?
I don't really have much of a regular 'routine', I just sort of do whatever's necessary each day! I'll usually apply some moisturiser, then do my make up once it's sunk it. Some days I'll put on foundation, other times I'll just use a little concealer. I normally do some sort of eye make-up, always mascara and then maybe a little eyeliner and or eyeshadow.
2. What's for breakfast?
Nearly always cereal. During the week, I'll have breakfast at about 6.30am and at the moment I'm working through a box of Golden Grahams at my placement accommodation, and porridge in Bristol. I don't have a microwave, so I've been making porridge on the hob and it's so much better! If I've got a little extra time, or it's the weekend, I'll often have eggs either poached or scrambled on toast.
3. Coffee or tea?
In the morning, I'll usually have coffee - white, no sugar. I drink it because I like it rather than because I need it and I'm not a different person if I don't have one!
4. How long does it take to get out the door?
Actually not too long - I'm usually ready to go in about half an hour to forty minutes. I do however get up about an hour and forty five minutes before I leave because I like taking my time in the morning and usually spend the extra time reading my book or watching TV.
5. What is your go-to makeup look on a fuss-free morning?
It varies, but I guess my 'go-to' would be No7 Essentially Natural foundation, a light brown or bronze eye shadow, a little black eyeliner and Clinique High Impact mascara.
6. What is your evening beauty routine?
Not much of a routine here either! I do always take off my make up though with wipes and cold cream. I'll often use some sort of cleanser, perhaps Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish if I've got it with me. I usually moisturise before bed too.
7. Snack time! What's in the bowl?
Most likely chocolate, although I'll sometimes have yoghurt with raspberries or blueberries as a post-dinner snack. If you've read much of this blog, you'll know I love baking so quite often I'll have some sort of baked goods in the kitchen that I might snack on instead!
8. How do you wind down and prep for bed?
I start getting ready for bed pretty early - almost as soon as dinner is finished. I tend to shower in the evenings, so I'll do that and put on pyjamas before watching TV. I've been trying to get into the habit of reading for a bit when I get into bed, so I normally try to get through a chapter or two. I also like playing an audiobook once I've turned the lights out. I use the Audible app which has a sleep function - handy, because I fall asleep pretty fast. Even with only 15 minutes sleep timer, I usually have to rewind it the next day to find where I stopped listening!
9. Cozy up! What are you wearing to sleep?
Pyjamas - and almost always a matching set! Luckily none of my bedrooms are too cold, so I don't have to layer up.
10. What are some things you must do before hitting the hay?
Switch my phone to silent! I hardly ever turn my phone off, but I do silence it overnight so I'm not disturbed by any notifications. I also have to make sure I've set my alarm of course, and I try to have picked out something to wear the next day so I don't have to stand around making decisions in the morning.
Let me know if you give this tag a try, and make sure to look back at Abi's answers too! :)
