After four and a half years of medical school, I'm finally starting to feel like I'm on the home straight now. A slightly terrifying prospect, but also really exciting.
And I found out this afternoon that I passed my finals - three written exams I took just before Christmas. While I've always believed I can do it, it was a relief to get that email saying 'congratulations, you've passed'!
I knew results would be coming out after 1pm today - luckily I was busily distracted assisting with the medical school admissions interviews. There was something nicely 'full-circle' about finding out I'd passed my finals while assessing the potential next intake of medical students. It's nearly five years since I was on the other side of the table, being selected to join the medical school - and now I'm nearly done!
There are still a couple more assessments left to complete, but I feel like the hardest bits are behind me now.
For now, it's time to celebrate!
