After breakfast in Dublin on day three, we headed south west towards Cork city. After checking in to the hotel, we ventured into the city centre and stopped for a quick feed at Debenhams cafe (actually not bad!) before visiting the English Market. Already tiring from the travelling, we rested in the hotel for a few hours with books and tv before going back into the centre for dinner at Milano (Irish version of Pizza Express).
The next day we went for breakfast at Serendipity Cafe (which I would highly recommend if you happen to find yourself in need of food in Cork), before driving out of the city and along the coast to stay with family for two nights. We visited a few local sites, got caught in the beautiful Irish rain on the beach with the dogs and even managed to fit in half a game of Monopoly (the cheating got out of hand).
A rather grey couple of hours at the beach
And bright sunshine the next day at Kinsale and Charles Fort
And lots of time with this camera shy cutie!
Cork was the only place on this trip that I've ever been to before. From here we made our way northwards again, heading up to Galway. Keep checking back this week to see more photos from the roadtrip!
