Guest Post: A Perfect Winter Evening with Adele

Now that the clocks have gone back, the days have gotten shorten and November is upon is, it really and truly is winter. That's no bad thing in my mind- Bonfire Night, Christmas, New Year and my birthday are all winter events and so I really enjoy this season. Something else I love about winter is the evening. Whether it's wrapping up warm for a wintry walk around festive streets, or cosying up in front of the TV, a winter evening is every bit as lovely as a light and lazy summer evening. I'm always interested to know what other people think makes a perfect winter evening and so today's post comes from Adele who shares with us her idea of a perfect night in...

Hi Everyone! I’m Adele from Adele’s Journey to a Better Life, and it’s a pleasure to be here with you on Ginevrella! I’m here to share with you my perfect winter evening!

It will be obvious from viewing my blog that I absolutely LOVE baking, so I would start my evening by doing a bit of baking, cupcakes or biscuits or if I want a proper dessert then a crumble. There’s just something so comforting about doing some baking because it heats up the kitchen, and I live with students so it’s nice for a bit of warmth!

For a treat whilst I’m baking I’d make myself a hot chocolate, topped with marshmallows and made with milk obviously! None of this hot water stuff for a hot chocolate!

Personally, all my favourite programmes are on in the winter, weekends are made for TV like the X Factor! Plus all the reality TV programmes (embarrassing guilty pleasure right there). Then after we’d spend a couple of hours talking before bed!

This would be the ultimate weekend evening, either spent with family or friends, depending on where I’m staying! There would usually be some wine and nibbles involved as well, you can’t have a really good weekend night without them!

What is your idea of a perfect winter evening?

  1. This sounds pretty perefect :) a hearty fruit crumble is always a winner on a winter's evening and milky hot chocolate too :D I love a good TV night as long as lots of blankets are involved!

  2. I love baking, although I normally bake in the mornings when I do. My perfect evening is probably some junk food (oops) and American Horror Story, or Disney films haha!
